With a background in graphic and industrial design. I help conceptualize and create brand identities, type design, editorial, packaging, and digital marketing assets and experiences for the beauty, fashion, lifestyle industries and beyond. I have worked with a diverse group of forward-thinking clients to craft elegant and memorable visual stories driven by bespoke typographic identities, functional interfaces, and experiences. This process is rooted in collaboration to figure out the brand story and how to best tell that story across the most relevant and appropriate mediums. I’m comfortable working as a piece of an existing organization or assembling a bespoke team to best serve a project’s needs. Their brand identity includes a full range of original illustrations used across packaging, stationery, and merchandise that (hopefully) sits between vintage and modern inspirations, while still feeling contemporary in its execution. Each study has visual cues that were all executed in a practical manor related to the content that it’s based on. The name was founded by hip-hop artist/producer “ShawnAnthony” who also works in client service for a luxury brand. The duality of Shawn’s day job in retail, and his childhood passion in music is what PLAYAOPTION is all about. The option of having another interest besides what you do for a living. Shawn also played football and basketball for most of his childhood and teenage years while having 2 older brothers play basketball on the college and pro level. The ethics of team sports play a huge part in this community’s identity even though can be a PLAYA in their own respective career field. It’s about mastering your craft and incorporating your own style into it all.The identity of this community is rooted in 90’s sports athletic wear. Vintage Nike tennis ads, 90’s hip-hop music videos, 2000’s college basketball culture. PLAYAOPTION aims to bring a modern, elegant nostalgic touch to its designs.
